AshGold’s Yaw Annor has emerged as the Ghana Premier League top scorer with 22 goals earning him the award for the first time in his professional career.
This feat meant that he surpassed, Kotoko’s Frank Etouga Mbella, who had led the goal king race for most parts of the season as well as equal Hearts of Oak legend Ishmael Addo’s longstanding record.
Yaw Annor was pivotal for AshGold this season, scoring 22 goals in 29 appearances for the Obuasi-based club.
Aduana Stars’ Bright Adjei, Umar Bashiru, and Augustine Okrah all gave the goal king contest a stiff competition at some point in the season.
AshGold will end the season 7th with 47 points.
