We will appoint an assistant soon – Frederick Moore
The Ghana Premier League is currently suspended but clubs are making the most in the transfer window, signing new lads, selling and loaning others as well inorder to properly augment their side before the league resumes.
In view of this, Accra Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederick Moore has assured the clubs teeming supporters of the management and board decision to employ an assistant coach to help head coach Edward Nii Odoom steer the club to glory.
The club has been without an assistant coach after the current head coach was promoted to the role after Kim Grant’s sacking.
Mostly in the dugout, Odoom is seen alone with no one to consult for technical advice when things are not going right for the club.
But Moore reiterated management’s desire to get an able and suitably qualified assistant for Odoom soon.
“Assistant coach we will get one, we will get one very soon,” adding that; “we want to make sure that we get the best assistant coach that we can have so the board will not be in a rush to appointing anybody.
“The head coach is aware of the work that is going on behind the scene to get him the best support that he can get.” he made this revelation during a recent interview with Accra based Asempa FM.
The Ghana Premier League has been halted following the government’s directive to ban all public activities due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
