West Ham United’s Keenan Appiah-Forson ready to play for Ghana if called.
Keenan Appiah-Forson, the midfielder for West Ham United, has conveyed his strong desire to represent Ghana when the opportunity arises.
Born in the United Kingdom to Ghanaian parents, the 21-year-old’s sole focus is on the prospect of playing for the West African nation, and he eagerly anticipates the chance to do so.
Appiah-Forson became part of West Ham at the age of 14 after unsuccessful trials with Tottenham and Charlton Athletic.
His debut at the senior level for West Ham took place in 2021, when he featured in a UEFA Europa League match against Dynamo Zagreb.

“We’ve engaged in discussions about my potential national team participation with Ghana, involving my parents as well.”
“I’ve genuinely contemplated this, and my stance has consistently been that if Ghana extends the call to me, I’ll certainly accept it.”
“This is the land of my parents’ heritage. I’m keen to give back to them and demonstrate my capabilities,” Forson shared in an interview with Saddick Adams TV.
Appiah-Forson also expressed his admiration for Ghanaian football legends such as Michael Essien and Asamoah Gyan.
He also lauded Mohammed Kudus of Ajax, emphasizing the positive influence he could bring to West Ham United, especially considering the club’s interest in securing his talents.
Having amassed over 70 appearances for the U18 and U21 teams in the previous season, Appiah-Forson has earned a reputation as a highly regarded player. His versatility on the field has been a contributing factor to his frequent involvement in matches.
