Jordan Ayew scored the match-winner for Ghana as they silenced host Mali in game three of the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako.
Mali asserted immense dominance in the game calling goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati-Zigi into a host of saves.
The incense pressure from the host saw the Black Stars make moves of their own with poster boy, Mohammed Kudus with Ghana’s first shot in the 16th minute and later Antoine Semenyo.

Kamory Doubia’s shot took a massive defection off Alexander Djiku for the game’s opener a minute to end the first half.
The second half resumed with a similar tempo as the first but a sweet inswinging cross from Salis Ahmed saw Ernest Nuamah rising the highest to nod home the equalizer in the 58th minute.
With the game looking set to end in a draw, Jordan’s disguise pass to Thomas Partey saw his shot being saved by the Malian goalkeeper, Mamadou Samassa
That didn’t deter the Black Stars from probing yet again for the winner which came in the dying embers through one of the side’s most capped players, Jordan Ayew, who reacted the quickest in the eighteen-yard box of the Malians to bundle home the winner for the BlackStars.
