Ghana reacted positively to secure one of two slots for the finals of the WAFU B U-20 Cup of Nations qualifiers as they pipped Cote d’Ivoire.
The West African side conceded early in the game through, Loukou Jaures but crawled themselves back into the game with an own-goal equalizer before the end of the first half.

The Black Satellites’ top goal scorer, Jerry Afriyie once again rose to the occasion after he stepped up to take a crucial penalty which sealed the all-important victory for the Ghanaians.
