Ghana’s Black Meteors will face Zamalek in pre-tournament friendly come this Tuesday as they continue their preparations for the U-23 AFCON in Morocco.
In preparation for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, the Black Meteors are scheduled to play another friendly match against the renowned Egyptian club Zamalek on Tuesday.
This confirmation came from the Ghana Football Association on Monday, following their recent match against Egypt.
“The Black Meteors will engage in a friendly match against Egyptian giants Zamalek FC at the Zamalek Sports Complex.”
“The test game is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 5:30 pm (2:30 pm GMT),” stated the Ghana FA in their announcement.”

In their initial preparatory match held in Cairo, the team drew 1-1 against the Egyptian side.
Following the match against Zamalek on Tuesday, the team will proceed to Morocco for the tournament.
There, they will be joined by Kamaldeen Sulemana, Enerst Nuamah, and Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer, who were with the Black Stars for Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against Madagastar.
In Group A of the competition, the Black Stars will face Morocco, Congo, and Guinea as they strive to finish in the top three and secure a spot in next year’s Olympic Games.
The tournament is set to commence on Saturday, June 24, and conclude on Saturday, July 8.
