The Black Queens of Ghana qualify for 2024 CAF Women’s Cup of Nations
Coach Nora Hauptle has successfully qualified the Black Queens of Ghana for the the 2024 CAF Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, despite suffering a 1-0 defeat to Namibia in the final qualifying round second leg.
The Black Queens progressed with a 3-2 aggregate victory after winning the first leg 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Although the hosts took a lead in the first half and pressed for a second goal in the second half, resilient goalkeeping from Cynthia Konlan Findid thwarted their efforts.

Nora Hauptle and her team will join hosts Morocco, South Africa, and Algeria, all of whom secured their spots on Monday.
Despite the queens losing on the day. coach Nora is elated to have been able to return the Queens to the Women’s Afcon.
Nora has an impressive 10 victories in 11 games, losing just once as head coach of the Black Queens.
Ghana’s qualification marks their return to the premier women’s continental competition after missing out on the last tournament in 2022.
