One of Appiah’s initial tasks is to prepare the Sudanese team for their upcoming international fixtures against Togo and DR Congo in the World Cup qualifiers.
Despite his new responsibilities with Sudan, Appiah will continue to oversee operations at Asante Kotoko, where he serves as the Technical Director and Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC).
Additionally, in a recent development, Appiah secured a position on the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Committee, following his successful election during the recent Elective Congress.
Kwesi Appiah is widely lauded for his notable achievement in leading Ghana to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil during his tenure as the national team coach.
