Special Competition: Matchday 10 results: Hearts, Kotoko held, Medeama beat Ashgold
Here are the results for Matchday ten of the Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee’s Special Competition.
Asante Kotoko 1-1 Bechem United
Asante Kotoko were held at home by Bechem United. Prince Adu Kwabena opened the scoring just two minutes into the game and Kotoko responded immediately through a nice free kick goal from Abdul Fatawu. Both teams couldn’t find the back of the net in the second half.
Medeama 1-0 Ashantigold
Ashantigold suffered defeat when they faced Medeama on Wednesday. Isaac Agyenim Boateng’s strike made sure his team remain on top of Zone A table.
Berekum 1-1 Eleven Wonders
Berekum Chelsea managed a point at home after Zakaria Fuseini’s late goal canceled Alex Asamoah’s opener at the Golden City Park.
Hearts Of Oak 0-0 Liberty Professionals
Hearts Of Oak were held by 10-men Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday. Liberty Professional player Micheal Enu was sent off after a bad last ditch tackle on Joseph Esso. Hearts Of Oak had the opportunity to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty in the first half but Joseph Esso’s effort hit against the crossbar. Both teams came close to scoring but luck wasn’t on either side as the game ended goallessly.
Inter Allies 2-2 Karela United
Inter Allies failed to secure three points at Tema Stadium as they fought till the last minute to rescue a point in the game. Samuel Armah opened the scoring before Diawisie Taylor scored twice to put Karela in front, Abdul Nassiru Hamzah scored the equalizer in the 85th minute for Inter Allies.
WAFA 3-1 Dreams FC
WAFA bounced back from a disappointing defeat against Hearts to win big at Sogakope against Dreams FC. Haruna Jamal scored twice for WAFA with Augustine Boakye scoring the third, Ibrahim Issah scored the consolation for Dreams.
Elmina Sharks 0-0 Ebusua Dwarfs
Elmina were held at home by an organized Ebusua Dwarfs side who will be pleased with the away point.
