Samuel Amo-Ameyaw signs first professional contract at Southampton.
Southampton FC has awarded a professional contract to Samuel Amo-Ameyaw, a talented 17-year-old from England with Ghanaian roots.
He secured this deal based on his impressive performance during his first season with the club, having joined from Tottenham Hotspur the previous summer.
Amo-Ameyaw’s Premier League debut took place during the last match of the previous season, where Southampton drew 4-4 against Liverpool at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Expressing his excitement about signing the new contract, the young player stated that his main goal upon joining Southampton was to progress quickly through the ranks.
He highlighted the achievement of winning the league with the B-team (Under-21s) and making his Premier League debut at just 16 years old.
Now, he aims to continue pushing forward and earning more opportunities with the first team, as per the instructions of manager Russell Martin.
During the current pre-season, Amo-Ameyaw has already showcased his skills in all three friendlies against Benfica, Goztepe, and Reading.
In the previous season, he made a total of 24 appearances across various competitions, impressively scoring 7 goals and providing 1 assist.
