Ghana’s Daniel Laryea selected by FIFA for U17 World Cup in Indonesia.
Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Laryea has been chosen to officiate at the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup final event set to be held in Indonesia.
At 34 years old, he stands as the sole Ghanaian referee to secure a spot in this esteemed tournament in Southeast Asia. Laryea joins the ranks of 11 African match officials who will preside over the matches.
With a wealth of experience, he has overseen high-profile matches in AFCON qualifiers, the CAF Champions League, and the Confederation Cup.

During the tournament in Indonesia, Laryea will serve as one of the 18 Video Assistant Referees.
The Black Starlets, unfortunately, did not qualify for this event, which is scheduled to run from November 10 to December 2, 2023.
During this time, 24 nations will compete for the coveted championship. The African representation will come from U17 champions Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Morocco, who will join teams from around the globe in this prestigious competition.
