The referee cheated us – Aduana Stars coach Paul Tandoh
Aduana Stars head coach W.O Paul Tandoh didn’t hide his disappointment in the officiating in their game against Asante Kotoko in the opening game of the Special Competition.
Abass scored an early goal in the encounter just two minutes into the game to give Asante Kotoko the lead at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Aduana Stars pushed harder for an equalizer but were furious when Mohammed Yahaya’s goal was cancelled because he was in an offside position.
Paul Tandoh was furious after the game, he claimed that their goal was legitimate and added that the referee disgraced himself.
“Officiating has to be normalized too because it will be suicidal next time when anybody takes the route to defend somebody who is weak.
“I want to tell the NC Chairman and the Referees Appointment Committee that they should look sharp because it was a bad thing.
“The referee [Julius Nunoo] has disgraced himself very well.
“The goal he disallowed, the [Kotoko] player was in the pole so how do you disallow it? That’s a very bad thing. So, I beg the officials that if they want us to have a good tournament, then they should work on the referees because they are still not normalized.”
Aduana Stars will play Eleven Wonders in their next game.
