The President Cup competition between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have been called off due to heavy downpour at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Organizers of the competition initially delayed kick-off due to the unfavorable weather before inspecting the pitch to decide if the game can still go on.
The game kicked off a few minutes later and lasted for only ten minutes before the officials halted play and consulted both teams before deciding to call off the game due to the bad state of the pitch.
Reports are suggesting that the game will be rescheduled later as Asante Kotoko are set to play Etoile du Sahel next weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium.
