Asante Kotoko suffered a shocking defeat against Elmina Sharks at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday in Obuasi as Sharks complete the double over the Porcupines.
Elmina Sharks will be delighted with their performance after the win sealed their stay in the Ghana Premier League.
Razak Abolara was Kotoko’s best player in a very poor game for Mariano Barreto’s boys.
Razak Abalora – 7: Had a very good first half with two incredible saves, will be disappointed with the goal.
Christopher Nettey – 4: Couldn’t cover the right-back position very well; Elmina Sharks had two great goalscoring opportunities from his position in the first half. Need to work on his positioning.
Imoro Ibrahim – 4: Misplaced some passes and couldn’t complete crosses in promising areas.
Andrews Appau – 4: Wasnt his best day in defence, could’ve done better to prevent the Sharks goal.
Abdul Ganiyu – 4: Shadow of his true self; could have done better in that Sharks goal and missed a good opportunity to level the game.
Salifu Mudasiru – 4: One of those days were he tried several long shots with none on target, another subpar performance.
Emmanuel Keyekeh – 3: Continued with his average performance and saw the game pass him by.
Fabio Gama – 5: Tried to link severally with the forwards but wasn’t working, had a fairly good game.
Emmanuel Gyamfi – 3: Wasn’t a captain performance; tried some crosses in the first half but was unsuccessful. Had a very poor second half and was replaced by Naby Keita.
Andy Kumi – 2: Didn’t do much special in the 45 minutes he played, he although made some interesting runs but failed to connect with his teammates.
Sarfo Taylor – 3: Had a good opportunity to create a goal in the first half but made the wrong decision and saw his effort saved. He did nothing special after and was then replaced by Osman Ibrahim.
Subs:
Evans Adomako – 3: Positioned well to get his head on crosses but couldn’t change the game.
Osman Ibrahim – 2: Had one effort but his effort went wide, another poor performance from him.
Naby Keita: N/A
