Joseph Paintsil scores and provides two assists in Genk’s victory

Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil scores and provides two assists in Genk’s victory over Westerlo.

Paintsil made his first start after returning from injury and took only 7 minutes to put his name on the score sheet.

He went on to provide two assists in the game as Genk went ahead to  finish the game with a commanding 5-1  scoreline.

The former Tema Youth star has been in a fantastic form this season. So gar, he has managed five goals and four assists in 10 appearances.

Paintsil’s omission from the last Black Stars call up was met with rage as fans argued he deserved a place a the team that played series of matches in preparation for the  Qatar 2022 world cup.

Coach Otto Addo has made it clear that, no player has a secured spot in the team and Paintsil seeks to regain his position as the country waits for the provisional list for the world cup.
