Andre Ayew was one of the notable players missing from the latest Ghana Black Stars squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.
Otto Addo revealed to the media he had a chat with Andre Ayew about his decision.
“I had a long talk with Andre and gave him the reason why he is not in the squad. I talk to players directly, I don’t like to put information out about what we spoke about” he said.
“This is the decision we took and it’s not like he necessarily agreed but I still have big respect for him” he added.
Andre Ayew featured regularly for his club Le Havre in the last few games of the season but still missed out on the latest Ghana squad.
