Black Stars coach Otto Addo has leapt to the defence of defender Abdul Mumin whose clearance caused the team’s defeat against Angola.
The Black Stars were looking to start the 2025 AFCON qualifying series on a winning note but for bad clearance on the part of the Spain-based defender allowing substitute Joao Milson to tap in the only goal of the game.

Speaking to reporters in his post-game reactions, Otto believes the pitch played a role in restricting the defender from properly clearing the ball from danger.
“We made some mistakes so it’s not only him. The grass was not that good. Besides the mistake, he had a really good game. He played a lot of passes in between the lines and won a lot of duels. He is young and surely will develop.
