Bechem United forward, Augustine Okrah has opened up on reasons for rejecting the Black Stars invite for the Kirin Cup tournament.
The winger whose performances for his club in the league caught the eyes of the Black Stars handlers received a call to team up with the side in the lead-up to the game against Central Africa Republic but was later dropped and recalled for the Japan tournament.

In light of this revelation, he out rightly dismissed the invitation for the upcoming tournament which has been arranged as a dress rehearsal for Otto Addo and his technical team to pitch a winning team ahead of the World Cup, 2022 citing sickness as a barrier to him
“After the game against Aduana, my condition was not okay, I was feeling dizzy, so I spoke to our club president,”
“Later on I received a call from, our GM, Lord Zico but I told him I can’t join the Black Stars because I was not fit”. He ended.
Okrah has been a big fixture for the Bechem base club, involved in over 17 goals contribution for them as they push for a 2nd place finish in the Ghana Premier League 2021/22 which has already been secured by Kotoko.
