NCC ready to fund Latif Anabila Purchase
The National Circles Council (NCC) of Asante Kotoko SC has expressed its desire to fund the immediate purchase of talented midfielder Latif Anabila from Ashanti Gold to Asante Kotoko.
The Ghana Premier League transfer window is still in session affording clubs an opportunity to augment their squad to properly challenge for honors once the league resumes post the deadly coronavirus.
The AshantiGold player has one too many times been scouted by the Porcupine Warriors, in an attempt to add him to an already budding midfield set up under the able leadership of Maxwell Konadu.
This week the NCC wrote to management requesting to support in efforts to reduce the clubs teeming financial woes it’s bedeviled with in the last couple of months, some of which has to do with, settling a FIFA fine totaling $240,000, discussing possible player cuts in wake of less cash inflow because of the coronavirus and other prevailing issues.
In a statement from Kotoko’s NCC sent to the management of the club, they want to sign the player for the club’s coach, Maxwell Konadu.
“I write on behalf of the Executives of the National Circles Council (NCC) of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club to inform your office that as part of plans of the Demenya-led administration to assist Management in player acquisition every transfer window”,
It continued, “The NCC has resolved to purchase a player on the radar of Head Coach Maxwell Konadu, Latif Anabila from Ashanti Gold to augment the current squad.
“The NCC will foot all the bills of the said player from his team to Kotoko”.
Obuasi based club Ashanti Gold will be looking to cash in on their star midfielder, who could leave the club in excess of $20,000 depending on the modalities of negotiations.
The Ghana Premier League is currently suspended until further notice, as the country together with its partners’ battles the coronavirus.
