Mohammed Salisu to be sidelined for weeks after undergoing surgery.
AS Monaco has confirmed that Mohammed Salisu, has undergone pubalgia surgery. This procedure, as reported by L’Équipe, is expected to keep the Ghanaian international out of action for several weeks.
Salisu made the switch to the French club during the recent transfer window, following Southampton’s relegation to the Championship in the previous season.
Unfortunately, his debut for AS Monaco has been postponed due to a pre-existing injury he sustained while playing for Southampton in the English Championship.

On Friday, AS Monaco announced that Mohammed Salisu would undergo surgery for his lingering pubalgia injury.
According to an official statement from the club, “Following persistent pain during the international break, Mohamed Salisu (pubalgia) will undergo a surgical intervention in the coming days.”
Post-surgery, reports from the French media indicate that Salisu’s recovery period will necessitate an extended spell on the sidelines, with several weeks predicted before his return.
The former Southampton center-back suffered his injury in March and has since struggled to regain full fitness. He is hopeful that this recent surgery will lead to a significant improvement in his condition.
