This assist came in the 63rd minute when Kudus delivered a superb cross that found Jarrod Bowen, who completed his hat-trick with a well-taken finish.
Bowen had earlier scored two quick goals in the 7th minute to give West Ham a 2-0 lead, but Brentford’s Neal Maupay pulled one back before halftime.
Emerson extended West Ham’s lead shortly after Bowen’s third goal, capitalizing on a defensive error from Brentford to score with a volley.
Despite a late goal from Brentford’s Yoanne Wissa, West Ham held on for the win.
