Ghana’s Michael Baidoo was on target as Elfsborg destroyed Halmstads 6-1
Michael Baidoo, the Ghanaian midfielder, scored his first goal in the Swedish Allsvenskan, helping IF Elfsborg to secure a convincing 6-1 victory over Halmstads BK on Wednesday.
Baidoo also provided an assist for his team, who fought back from being a goal down. The visitors took the lead in the sixth-round match with Viktor Granath’s goal four minutes before halftime.

Baidoo leveled the score ten minutes into the second half, and Noah Soderberg and Jeppe Okkels scored two more goals in quick succession to put Elfsborg ahead.
Jacob Ondrejka scored two more goals before Andre Ramer’s final goal in the 84th minute. Ghanaian players Phil Ofosu-Ayeh, Thomas Boakye, and Mohammed Naeem all played for Halmstads in the game.
Baidoo has now recorded two assists and a goal in six matches for Elfsborg in the Swedish top flight this season.
