Michael Ampadu says bye to Legon Cities after three years.
Legon Cities and defender Michael Ampadu have decided to part ways, allowing the right-back to explore new opportunities in his career.
Ampadu became a part of Legon Cities in 2020 and played a significant role as a key player during the last two seasons, contributing to the team’s efforts to maintain their position in the competitive Ghana Premier League.

However, after three years, both Ampadu and the club reached a mutual agreement to go their separate ways, granting the player the freedom to explore opportunities with any club he desires.
Ampadu’s contract with Legon Cities expired last month, and there were no discussions for a renewal, as the club is embarking on a new path after appointing veteran coach Paa Kwesi Fabin.
In the past, Ampadu had attracted interest from Kotoko before joining Legon Cities, but it appears that the former Ghanaian champions are unlikely to pursue him now.
As Ampadu enters a new phase in his career, there are possibilities of him finding a new club, potentially within the Ghana Premier League, in preparation for the upcoming season.
