Two former Ghana Premier League winners, Medeama SC and Kotoko will go head-to-head in a much-publicised inauguration duel for the new T and A Stadium in Tarkwa on August 16, 2024.
The host club, Medeama SC after five years of football inactivity at the stadium will use this opportunity to test the new edifice ahead of the new season.

The game is said to attract a large chunk of personalities to the stadium such as Ghana’s Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, officials from Gold Fields, chiefs and people from the Tarwkwa enclave, religious men and other important stakeholders would be in attendance to commemorate the event.
The 10,400 seater stadium also boasts VIP, media stands, ticket boots, advertising board, and drainage.

The T&A Stadium will boast sports infrastructure which will aid in harnessing talent in the locality.
