A second-half penalty from Kwadwo Amoako was enough to secure victory for Medeama SC over Bibiani GoldStars at Akoon Park.
The host was looking to switch attention following the harrowing defeat they suffered away from home to Yong Lions in their maiden CAF Champions League participation.

Felix Kyei was in post for the host, Baba Musah, Kamaradini, Derrick Fordjour, Daniel Lomotey, Joshua Agyemang, and new signing Michael Enu in the starting lineup.

Kwadwo Amoako converted expertly to send the home side a goal up much to the appreciation of the teeming home supporters at the venue.

The win sends Medeama SC up to 10th on the log with GoldStars a point above the relegation safety net.
The Tarkwa-based club will travel away to Karela United while at Duns Park and face Legon Cities.
