Match Report – Berekum Chelsea dent Kotoko hopes again

Berekum Chelsea reacted strongly from a losing position to pick a point against Asante Kotoko at Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon.

 



The host has boasted of a superior home record against the Porcupine Warriors which dates back over a decade and was looking to preserve and protect the feat in yet another thrilling contest.

The away side got their noses in front with an early lead courtesy of Kyei Dwamena, who got on the end of a carefully curated pas from former Bofoakwa Tano captain, Dauda Saaka to put the visitor’s head.

That goal sent deafening silence across the length and breadth of the Golden City.

However, after the second half, the host began playing some soothing beautiful, and creative chances, they found the back of the net but it was rightly ruled out as offside.

But that didn’t deter them from trying again, they found the much-needed leveler through captain, Fuseini Zakaria.

The game ended in a 1-1 stalemate between the two teams.
