Kotoko, record holders of the Ghana Premier League will head into this weekend with bags of confidence knowing they can celebrate as worthy winners in their coronation match against relegation-doomed Elmina Sharks at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
The Reds will certainly give their fans something to cheer and gloat about after reclaiming the league triumph from bitter rivals, Hearts of Oak.
Their last 5 home matches have been a mixed bag, losing two from their 5 but that hasn’t deterred them from coping 33 points which have culminated in aiding them to the summit of the table above the other competitors in the league.
Cameroonian import Frank Etouga has been a cogwheel to the club’s title victory, 21 goals, breaking former player Eric Bekoe’s record which stood for well over a decade, he will fancy ending on a high with a goal or two knowing, AshGold’s Yaw Annor is breathing heavily on his shoulders.
Elmina Sharks, already relegated from the league will have nothing to lose knowing well they beat Kotoko in the first round at the Ndoum Sports Stadium, they wouldn’t mind repeating the dosage again.
Predictions: KOTOKO 2-1 ELMINA SHARKS
