Nations FC made light work of Asante Kotoko when they pair met at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.
Two goals in the first half by Nafiu Sulemana and Emmanuel Annor was enough for the home side to pick all the maximum points against the Reds.
The first goal of the game was scored by Nafiu Sulemana in the 15th minute.
Emmanuel Annor doubled the lead on the 45th minute mark for Nations FC.
The second failed to produce any goals between the two sides.
The win aids Nations FC to second on the log behind GoldStars as they play Berekum Chelsea in the next league fixture.
Meanwhile, Kotoko will have to regroup quickly as they play Hearts of Oak in the super clash next weekend.
They lie 4th on the log with 47 points.
