The Chairman of the Normalization Committee has revealed that Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah will be sacked if he fails to guide the Black Stars to win the 2019 AFCON Competition.
A Clause of that nature have been included in Kwesi Appiah’s contract by the Normalization Committee; he will leave his position if the Black Stars fail to win the tournament.
The Normalization refused to give Kwesi Appiah a long term contract, his contract was extended till the end of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. A long term contract will be considered if the team come out victorious.
Dr. Kofi Amoah stated that the decision was made by the Normalization committee.
“Per the contract, if Kwesi Appiah doesn’t win the AFCON 2019 he is gone,” Kofi Amoah said on Friday.
Ghana have already qualified for the 2019 AFCON after Liberia were disqualified from the tournament due to government interference in sports in the country.
