Kwasi Appiah hopeful for Ghana and Sudan qualification.

Sudan head coach James Kwasi Appiah is hopeful Sudan and Ghana will secure spots for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

 



This week, the two countries will go head-to-head in a crucial AFCON 2025 qualifier.

The first will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 11, and five days later the return leg in Sudan.

Speaking to Asempa FM, Kwesi Appiah, is hopeful that Sudan and Ghana will book places for Morocco, in 2025.

“I hope both Ghana and Sudan qualify for the 2025 AFCON,” he told Asempa FM. “We just have to pray and hope that we all achieve our goal.”

While the AFCON qualifiers is the imminent assignment, Appiah, whose side is unbeaten in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, says he aims to take the Falcons of Jediane to the global stage.

“My topmost priority is to qualify Sudan for the 2026 World Cup,” he added.

“Sudan have not been there before but I am hoping God uses me as a medium to achieve that.” He ended.

Twenty-three players have arrived in camp for the game against Sudan.
