Kurt Okraku : GFA to invest $100,000 into colts football

President of the GFA, Kurt Okraku has pledged the FA will invest $100,000 into colts football.

Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association, has announced that his organization plans to allocate a substantial sum of $100,000 towards the advancement of juvenile football, commonly referred to as colts in Ghana.

Despite its history of producing exceptional talent, juvenile football has experienced a significant decline in recent years.

Ever since assuming the position of GFA boss, Mr. Okraku has shown a keen interest in revitalizing this aspect of the sport.

The allocated $100,000 will specifically be used to acquire high-quality boots for colts players. “We will invest $100,000 in colts football, with this money serving as a means of providing football gear to our young players,” he stated.

Furthermore, Mr. Okraku disclosed that an additional $600,000 would be received through KGL’s sponsorship of juvenile football.

In addition, Ghana Premier League clubs will be required to establish their own juvenile teams. Players from these juvenile clubs will be registered for the league, enabling them to seamlessly integrate into the first team.
