Kotoko won’t resume football until proposals are granted – Nana Apinkra warns GFA

Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) Chairman, Nana Apinkra has voiced the club’s strong stance on not resuming football activities unless their proposals are fully addressed by the GFA.

The GFA met dignitaries of Kotoko where the latter outlined some of the proposals they expect to be fulfilled by the mother football governing body.

These include Autonomous League Management, Enhanced Security Measures, Automatic Representation on the GFA Executive Council, and a Fair Share of TV Rights.

Speaking on the subject matter, Nana Apinkra emphasized the need for serious reforms from the football governing body before they (Kotoko) resume football activities in Ghana.

“As for the GFA, we already know you take us for granted, but from now on, whether you like it or not, you will respect us. Kotoko and Hearts cannot be ignored. We are asking for better security measures,” Nana Apinkra stated.

He further stressed that Kotoko is not against playing football but will only return when their concerns are addressed.

“Even today, we will play if you respond to our proposals. But until then, count us out because we cannot sit back and watch another life lost. We will go to every length necessary to get to the bottom of this matter.”
