King Faisal to seek appeal on dismissed protest case against Tamale City
According to owner Alhaji Grusah, King Faisal is set to challenge the decision to dismiss their protest case against Tamale City, a fellow Ghana Premier League opponent.
The protest was lodged following their clash on matchday 30 of the Ghana Premier League, which took place at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on May 6.

King Faisal FC claimed that Tamale City FC fielded an ineligible player, specifically Isaac Mensah/Jireh Kojo Nissi, during the match, which ended in a 4-1 victory for Tamale City.
Seeking a favorable outcome, King Faisal FC aimed to secure a victory by default, which would have awarded them three crucial points to enhance their chances of avoiding relegation.
However, the Disciplinary Committee ruled against their protest.
Nevertheless, after careful examination and investigation, the Disciplinary Committee concluded that the player in question was indeed eligible to participate in the match. Consequently, King Faisal FC’s protest was dismissed.
In an interview with Akoma FM, Alhaji Grusah, the owner of King Faisal Football Club, expressed the club’s determination to appeal the decision.
“We will appeal the ruling and, if necessary, take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to ensure justice is served. This matter will be resolved before the remaining games in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) are played,” stated Alhaji Grusah.
