The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken giant steps in naming a host of household names as head coaches of the newly established youth teams in the country.
The move forms part of the Football Association’s strategy to train, mentor, groom, and develop grassroots potential to serve as a springboard to the other youth teams in the country.

Samartex 1996 head coach, Nurudeen Amadu has been appointed as the gaffer for the male U18 National Team.
Amadu has masterminded the rise of the Samreboi-based club to the summit of the ongoing Ghana Premier League table. He will hope to bring his experience to bear having managed the Ghana U-17 as an assistant coach in 2014, and Premier League experience with Aduana Football Club and King Faisal Babies FC.
Hamza Mohammed Obeng and James Nanor will serve as part of his technical team.

Similarly, Yaw Preko will take charge of the National U-15 boys team assisted by Awudu Issaka and Mubarak Gado.
Abdul Karim Zito will get the nod to manage the newly created national U19 male team assisted by former Kotoko forward, Eric Bekoe with the hope of producing a pool of talented players to help Ghana revive its penchant for good players from the grassroots.
Additionally, Maxwell Konadu will take charge of the U23, with assistance from Abdul Gazelle and goalkeeper trainer, Ben Owu.
