WAFA SC’s prolific striker, Justus Torsutsey was on target yet again for the second game running as they dug deep to secure their first win of the season against traveling Accra Great Olympics at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena.
The home side were coming into this fixture on the back of three winless games, as well as facing an opponent that did a double over them in the previous season.
The away side, started the early exchanges on the front foot creating a host of chances but failed to make any count only for the tides to switch in favor of the home side, who pressed relentlessly in search of the winner which paid off in the dying embers after Marvin Owusu was fouled in the box with Justus Torsutsey’s scoring the resulting penalty to give the host the victory.
A delighted Justus, who was impressed about the outcome of the game spoke highly of how together with his colleagues they stuck to the game plan from the technical team which paid off hugely.
“It was a crucial match for us and we needed a win badly to make a huge statement, I’m glad we stuck to the game plan from our technical team which helped us to get a last-minute penalty to turn things around for us.”
“We will forge ahead from this victory with other games coming up”. he told Saharafootball.net
Justus Torsutsey has become an integral fixture for the Sogakope based club since breaking into the first team, he has since scored 2 in 5 this season for WAFA SC in the ongoing league campaign.
