Joseph Painstil scores brace in Genk’s victory over KV Kortrijk
Joseph Paintsil maintained his recent impressive performances by scoring two goals, contributing significantly to KRC Genk’s commanding 4-0 win over KV Kortrijk in the Belgian Pro League.
Paintsil found the net in both halves of the match, securing the victory at the Cegeka Arena on Sunday. He opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, and Nigerian youngster Yira Sor added another just four minutes into the second half.

Paintsil completed his brace with a goal in the 54th minute, while captain Bryan Heynen sealed the triumph with a penalty in the 60th minute.
This match marks Paintsil’s fourth goal in his last three appearances across all competitions for Genk.
Ghanaian teenager Christopher Bonsu Baah entered the game in the 76th minute as a substitute for his compatriot.
In the Belgian Pro League this season, Paintsil has been directly involved in ten goals, contributing six goals and four assists in 18 appearances.
Additionally, he has scored three times in nine European competition matches this campaign.
