Ghana Black Stars goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott will be heading back to London after withdrawing from the Black Stars squad, he will not join the team in Japan for the Kiri Cup.
Wollacott missed Ghana’s game against Central African Republic through illness. Swindon Town goalkeeper fell sick when the team arrived in Angola for the game, he has now been asked to go home to recover fully from the illness.
Ghana Black Stars will now travel to Japan without their first and second choice goalkeepers; Richard Ofori left for South Africa after picking a knock in Accra.
Lawrence Ati-Zigi who was in post for Ghana against Central African Republic will also be in post in the Kiri Cup alongside Manaf Nurudeen. Asante Kotoko already refused to let Danlad Ibrahim leave, so the goalkeeper will not be joining the team in Japan.
