Ignatius Osei-Fosu explains, “Medeama wouldn’t have sacked me if I met Kwesi Appiah early”
Assistant coach of Sudan, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, emphasizes that he has gained valuable insights from former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.
Osei-Fosu, formerly the coach of Techiman Eleven Wonders, is now a part of the coaching staff for the Sudanese national team alongside Appiah.
Kwesi Appiah, the former Ghana captain, appointed Osei-Fosu and Fatau Dauda to his technical team after taking over as Sudan coach in September.

Prior to joining Appiah in Sudan, Osei-Fosu had coaching stints with Dreams FC, King Faisal, and Medeama SC.
Osei-Fosu’s tenure at Medeama was brief, and he faced challenges at the start of his time with the club, leading to his exit.
Reflecting on his experience, he expressed, “I told the President of Medeama, Moses Parker, that if I had met Kwesi Appiah before joining your club, you wouldn’t have sacked me. I have learned a lot from that man,” as he shared with Pure Sports.
Despite his departure, Medeama went on to win the Ghana Premier League and currently represents the country in the CAF Champions League.
