Former Asante Kotoko board chairman Herbert Mensah has suggested that he would raise funds to run Ghana’s national football teams if he were in charge.
Several of the national teams have been on their bended knees for support from the GFA but it has fallen on deaf ears.

In a recent interview with JoySports, the former Kotoko capo said he would have used every available means possible to raise funds to support the operation and running of the football in the country.
“In a couple of elections back, I stated that whoever should be running the GFA, the easiest thing to raise money for, this side of a beauty pageant, is football.
“So you shouldn’t go to the government and be really requiring the government [to invest in football].
“If I were running the national teams, I’d be doing that [raising money to run them].”

At Kotoko, he implemented strategies to secure sponsorships and enhance financial stability, setting a precedent for self-sufficient sports administration.
