“I don’t see Ghana qualifying” – George Ofosuhene on BlackStars WorldCup chances

WAFA SC General Manager George Ofosuhene does not believe the Black Stars can secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

 

 



According to him, we are not doing things right hence our inability to qualify to the World Cup.

Speaking to Sporty FM, he clarified that how things are currently done with our football is not the best to aid our chances of securing qualification.

“I don’t see Ghana qualifying for the 2026 World Cup tournament because we are not doing the right things. Surprises are there for everyone to see in football, sometimes you cannot do anything about it,” he said.

“If you cannot qualify from a group that consists of Niger for AFCON, do you think we can qualify for the World Cup? He quizzed. “Ghana will not qualify for the World Cup,” he added.

The BlackStars failed to make it to the 2025 AFCON to be staged in Morocco as they housed miserably came last in a group that had Niger, Sudan, and Angola.

The BlackStars have qualified for the World Cup on four separate occasions and will be looking to make it their fifth time as they play Chad and Madagascar in March 2025.
