“I always give my all and never complained” – Jordan Ayew

Black Stars hatrick hero Jordan Ayew has expressed sincere readiness to give his all in national team colors despite being played out of position many times by previous managers.


Jordan, the oldest outfield player on the pitch made sure his presence on the field counted as he led the side scoring three goals to aid the Black Stars to their third victory in four games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Speaking to reporters following the Black Stars triumphed, he lamented being played out of position but was willing to sacrifice to help the team achieve its set goals.
“I’ve been playing out of position for quite some time in the national and club teams. But I have always done my duty, put my country first, and never complained because I always give my all.”
“It’s difficult. It’s not something I like to talk about, but my favorite position right from the academy, France, in the national team, has always been as a number 9.
“But I understand because I have qualities that allow me to play in the pockets of spaces, and I don’t complain.”

Jordan Ayew making his 103rd appearance becomes the first player in history to score a hat-trick since 2017.

The Black Stars have 9 points followed by Madagascar, and Comoros with 6 points respectively.
