Highlights : The new Accra Sports Stadium after CAF approval.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved the Accra Sports Stadium for Ghana’s game against Sudan.

CAF suspended the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as it did not meet its standards.

This raised fears that BlackStars might be forced to play Togo, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, and Morocco suggested as possible destinations.

Highlights :

CAF officials, the Sports Minister, and officials from the GFA inspected the Cape Coast Stadium and the Accra Sports Stadium last week before eventually turning down the former.

i.The new look Accra Sports Stadium can boast of the following :

ii. A well-grazed green playing surface.

iii. A fully furnished technical area for both teams.

iv. An upgraded dressing room with state-of-the-art washrooms.

v.A modern tunnel and other new add-ons.

The game is fixed for Friday, October 11, 2024, now that CAF has cleared the Accra Sports Stadium for use.
