Wollacott marked his international debut for the Black Stars against Zimbabwe during a 2022 World Cup qualifier in October 2021 and has since secured 11 caps for Ghana.

Following an injury that prevented him from participating in the Qatar World Cup, Wollacott anticipates making his debut in a significant tournament with the Black Stars.

Born in England, Wollacott is poised to vie with Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Richard Ofori for the primary goalkeeper position during the AFCON.

Ghana finds itself grouped with Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique in Group B for the tournament.
