Accra Hearts of Oak have released a short statement explaining the absence of new signing Gladson Awako, the club released the statement via their social media pages.
Gladson Awako was not involved in Hearts of Oak 2-0 win against CI Kamsar in the CAF Champions League game on Sunday in Accra. Earlier reports suggested the player wants to leave the club but the player insisted he is ill and is currently at home recovering.
Full Statement from Hearts of Oak:
Our recent signing, Gladson Awako, has experienced some personal difficulties that have prevented him from playing football and starting for Hearts of Oak so far.
The club expects him to sort out those difficulties soon, so that he can rejoin his colleagues and resume playing football.
Gladson Awako’s agent earlier revealed that the player may or may not play for the club and will sort things out very soon.
