Hearts of Oak returned to winning ways with a thumping victory over Karela United in game week twenty-six of the Ghana Premier League at Accra Sports Stadium.
A brace from the leading top goal scorer of the league, Hamza Issah, and a stupendous thunderbolt from Salim Adams were enough to settle the nerves of worried fans from the Phobia fraternity.
Before this game, the Phobians had lost three consecutive games, two away to Samartex, Medeama SC, and a GoldStars home loss sandwiched in between.

Coach Abubakari Damba’s side took an early lead through, Mohammed Dafie within the five minutes of football action to shush the vociferous home fans who were at the grounds in their numbers to cheer their side on to victory.
The host created a lot of chances of their own through, Asubonteng, Issah, Cisse, and Mtange but for some poor finishing, they failed to convert any of them.
But in the 28th minute, some sweet break of play from the home side, with Cisse, Mtange put Issah through on goal who pounced on some huckster goalkeeping from Nasiru Abdul Karim to level things for them, 1-1.
Coach Ouattara’s second-half substitutions paid off as Salim Adams scored a stupendous goal from 30 yards to take the home side into the lead in the 63rd minute.

Hamza Issah converted a late penalty to give Hearts of Oak a two-goal cushioning in the game, with the game ending, 3-1 in favor of the Phobians.
