The former Ghana U20 right-back has been sent home by the technical team of the Ghana U23 team for using a fake birth certificate.



Hearts of Oak defender Christopher Bonney has been dropped from the Black Meteors squad preparing ahead of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria.
Bonney was sent home after being caught of fogging his birth certificate to earn a call-up to the team led by Coach Ibrahim Tanko.
According to Transfermarkt, his age is 27 with 22nd July 1992 as his date of birth as others claim 22 July 1995 was his date of birth used during days at Asante Kotoko, Unistar Academy, and Ebusua Dwarfs.
After an in-depth investigation by the technical team of the Ghana U23 side indicated that Bonney forged his current date of birth 22nd November 1998.
Ghana will host the Algeria U23 in the first leg tie at the Accra Sports Stadium.
