Hearts 6-1 Bechem: Phobians thump 10-man Bechem United
Hearts of Oak secured a commanding 6-1 victory against Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday evening. Manaf, Aidoo, Bothway, Lawali, and Afutu were all on target for the home side.
Kosta Papic’s boys were ruthless on Saturday as they ended Bechem United’s unbeaten run and move to second position on the Ghana Premier League table.
Asante’s 45th-minute red card caused problems for his side as they conceded six goals in the second half; Manaf Umar opened the scoring with a great finish in the 52nd minute of the game.
Victor Aidoo doubled the lead for the home side after a great move before putting the ball at the back of the net, Aidoo added his second of the day five minutes later to make it 3-0 before Ansah Botchway made it 4-0.
Prince pulled one goal back for Bechem United but Lawali and Afutu join the party to make it 6-1 at full time.
Hearts of Oak are currently second on the Ghana Premier League table with 11 points and three points behind Bechem United.
