Ghanaian forward Hafiz Wontah Konkoni has said his farewells to the Tanzanian champions, Young Africans SC, as he embarks on a new chapter in his career.
The 24-year-old striker has successfully secured a loan transfer to the Northern Cypriot club, Dogan Türk Birliği, for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, seeking fresh opportunities and challenges.
Wontah Konkoni, who initially joined Yanga in July of the previous year from Bechem United, gained recognition for his outstanding performances in the Ghana Premier League.

Despite high expectations, his time with the Tanzanian champions did not unfold as anticipated.
The striker is expected to return to Yanga after completing the loan spell at the end of the season.
The official club statement regarding the transfer conveyed goodwill, stating, “Best of luck to Hafiz Konkoni, who has joined Dogan Türk Birliği Cyprus on loan until the end of the season.” This sentiment reflects the club’s acknowledgment of the player’s decision and their support for his new endeavors.
During his brief stint with Young Africans SC, Konkoni managed to contribute one goal in five appearances during their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
