The project was initiated three years ago and is now in its final stages of development. The Gold Fields Ghana Foundation has invested over $13 million in the project, nearing its allocated budget of $16 million.
The forthcoming completion of the TNA Stadium brings exciting prospects to the region, offering improved sports infrastructure and opportunities for community engagement. Project Manager Adama emphasized the thorough approach taken to ensure the stadium is fully prepared.
While this means a change in plans for Ghanaian champions Medeama, who had initially hoped to use the stadium for their CAF Champions League group games starting in November 2023, the stadium’s positive impact on the community and local sports remains highly anticipated.
