Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus’ ban extended by two games in Tottenham duel

Ghana midfielder, Mohammed Kudus has received an additional two-game ban for his conduct against Tottenham Hotspur.

Referee Andrew Madley initially gave Kudus a yellow card, but upon VAR’s intervention, the yellow card was withdrawn, and a straight red card was issued to him for the incident against the Tottenham player.

The FA has now charged him £60,000 and a two-game suspension and paid a £60,000 fine on top of his initial three-game ban.

Kudus was set to return to action against Everton this weekend after serving his three-game suspension, but with the new ruling, he will miss crucial games against Newcastle and Arsenal and will turn on December 3, 2024, to play against Leicester City should he be fancied for the starting role by Spanish manager Julen Lopetegui.

West Ham were also fined £30,000 for failing to control their players.
